In a little town not far from Orleans, this house for a young couple is located on a plot of land facing south, with an important slope, offering a beautiful view on the Orleans countryside. Located facing the street, in edge of the plot of land, the house has an access through a metal bridge which leads to the mezzanine, intermediate level between the living, situated at the ground floor to take advantage of the garden and the upper floor of rooms situated under the roof. For this one, we chose the slate rather than the tiles, and dressed in slate the entire house, the exception made by the wall side street, where an almost blind stone wall protected the intimacy of the tenants, whereas the facade towards the garden was almost totally glazed. A sudden jump of humour from the customer, finally not so glad of the idea of being the owner of a house too different from those of his neighbours, made the project not materialized.
