Emplacement Ingolstadt

Ingolstadt is an old german fortified city along the Danube. A large amaount of the Vauban fortification have been conserved, as well as the old town. The new University buildings are disposed around walking areas which start at the main square of the campus and descend to the river, where an othes square openes to a marina. The student residence, a long volume facing the interior fortification wall and the administrative buildings are inscribed in an urban composition which dialogues with the existing historic buildings. We utilised the brick for the facades, while the geometry of the buildings is simple and sober.
