Eco-village

The eco-village will be built on an artificial island created by digging a new canal. It is composed of 30 villas built with ecological materials (wood, cellular concrete) with a variable area (100-200 m2). The villas have two levels: on the ground floor a large living room with a terrace facing the river or the canal, a kitchen open to the living room and a toilet. Upstairs are the bedrooms and the bathroom. Some villas have a private pool and a pontoon for small boats. All the villas will be built along a driveway that forms the longitudinal axis of the island, allowing each visitor to arrive by car. Each villa has its own park place. The architecture is modern, European-style, but avoids any pastiche of historical styles. A pedestrian promenade will be set up on the bank and on the edge of the canal. There are floating pontoons with restaurants, bars and cafes, with large wooden terraces. Other two pontoons, located farther, will serve as fishing platforms. At both ends of the island there is a small marina and a sports club with an Olympic swimming pool, a children's pool, tennis courts, cloakrooms and a sports club. On the other side of the canal are the administrative buildings of the blueberry plantation, the laboratories, the scientific center and the production plant. All these buildings will be underground, as planted hills with a wooden structure, a glass wall towards the canal and skylights to ensure good lighting and connected by a basement circulation for the staff. They will thus be perfectly integrated into the landscape. Each building will have a separate entrance overlooking the driveway parallel to the canal, and with ecological parking for the staff. The tourists may visit these buildings, four pedestrian walkways connecting them to the island.
